- Note: WE SEEM TO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH MICROSOFT SURFACE PRO laptops/tablets more often than not in my experience and not worth the added expense
- Full size keyboard (with number keypad on right) - have to always double check on this issue

** I DO NOT (AND NEITHER DOES AVIMARK SUPPORT) RECOMMEND TABLET PCS OR WIRELESS COMPUTERS TO BE USED WITH AVIMARK IN YOUR HOSPITAL WITHOUT PROBABLY AND SUBSTANTIAL IMPROVEMENTS TO YOUR HOSPITAL’S WIFI INFRA-STRUCTURE.
ADDITIONAL HARDWARE: SCANNERS, LABEL PRINTERS, LASER AND INKJET PRINTERS
Scanners: Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500 or iX1500
Label Printers: Dymo Labelwriter 450 Turbo. Also recommend putting the Dymo(s) on Dymo Print Servers on IP in network, instead of USB attached to, and shared from PC.
Laser Printers: preferred over Inkjets or Deskjets, color or black and white. Multi-function machines used for front desk should be super-fast, but
** BEST IT NOT BE YOUR MAIN RECEPTION PRINTER, IF ALSO YOUR FAX , COPY AND SCANNING MACHINE.
All Gigabit Network: Preferably CAT6 wiring (though CAT5e is acceptable), GB NICs & Network switches for all Workstations, Printers and Server.
** MAKE SURE ALL COMPUTERS, ESPECIALLY LAPTOPS HAVE GIGABIT ETHERNET PORTS. DO NOT USE ANY SLOW 10/100 SWITCHES and REPLACE ALL CAT 5 CABLES TO OPTIMIZE YOUR NETWORK AND AVIMARK.
